Boston Properties, Danny Murtagh, Director, Engineering Four Embarcadero Center
Danny Murtagh is a native San Franciscan who has worked the last 30+ years primarily with an office at Embarcadero Center. He started in 1981 as a Stationary Engineer, promoted to Asst. Chief Engineer in 1984, promoted to Chief Engineer in 1987 and to Director of Engineering for Boston Properties, San Francisco region in 2002. Danny has worked directly with and continues to oversee all the plant systems, i.e., Plumbing, Electrical Controls (Pneumatics, EMCS, Lighting, DDC, Electric), Life Safety systems, HVAC, Fan pumps, motors, engines, Boilers, Chillers, Refrigeration, etc. Today he is involved with planning and implementing operational plant strategies and budget processes. Danny was a key contributor to the recent project that resulted in Boston Properties earning a LEED for Existing Buildings GOLD certification at Four Embarcadero Center on Monday, June 20, 2011

Norman S. Wright, Company, Shaun Webster, Account Executive
Shaun Webster is an account executive at Norman S. Wright Company. Shaun holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Prior to working for Norman S. Wright Shaun worked for several mechanical contractors and then worked at YORK International for 6 years. He has worked with Chief Engineers and Property Managers to save energy, help reduce maintenance costs, help qualify for utility rebates, and put together proposals with an attractive return on investment for HVAC related projects.

Syska Hennessy Group, Jose Herrera, Senior Associate
Jose has more than 24 years experience in HVAC design and project management with both engineering consulting and HVAC design/build contracting firms, providing energy efficient, cost-effective and constructible solutions. Before Syska Hennessy, Jose was Associate Principal at CB Engineers where he successfully managed the mechanical engineering group and assisted the company's expansion. As Project Leader at ACCO Engineered Systems he was instrumental in ACCO's expansion into the high-rise residential design/build market. After starting his career in Ontario, Canada Jose has spent 20 years in the San Francisco Bay Area including time with HOK, Mazzetti, and Flack & Kurtz. Jose received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA. He is a Licensed Mechanical Engineer in California and Ontario, Canada and a LEED® Accredited Professional. Jose is a voting member of ASHRAE's Tall Building Committee.

Mark Jewell's experience includes over 25 years in commercial real estate and more than 15 years in energy efficiency. He is the founder and president of EEFG, a consultancy that has designed energy-saving improvements for more than 350 buildings and is now focused on education, training, coaching and analysis related to energy management. Earlier in his career, Mark helped the US EPA deploy both the ENERGY STAR Buildings Program for Commercial Real Estate and the Portfolio Manager benchmarking tool. Mark is a graduate of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he specialized in Economics and Finance.
