I've only recently obained the CFM credential, but one of the immediate benefits that I experienced was increased recognition and respect from corporate senior management.
Rex White, CFM
At the time I took my CFM I had been in the Facilities profession for seven years. I was looking for a way to benchmark my performance and set myself apart from my peers. The exam has given me an edge in the market and recognition in my current position.
Ty Whitehead, CFM
I was promoted to Director six months after getting my CFM!
Dawn Knoll, CFM, CFMJ
I found my current position as a Facilities manager at Genentech as a result of my involvement in IFMA and having the CFM credential has an advantage when applying for positions in Facilities Management.
John Kennedy, CFM
I've had my CFM designation since the early 90's. The training I received in preparing for the test was immediately applicable to my work, and the designation brought acknowledgement of my specific facilities knowledge. My college degrees were not facilities related and thus alone didn't support my career path. The college degrees in conjuction with the CFM designation, substantiates my education and my facilities training.
Karol Luque, CFM, FMA
Being a licensed architect in California and a member of the AIA taught me that the CFM credential was an important professional and personal credential that I needed to achieve. After being in the Facilities Management arena for 10 years and signing up nine co-workers and myself for a CFM Exam Review, I was the first to take and pass the CFM exam. The CFM has proved to be a very positive professional credential that also reinforces and enhances one's personal self image.
John Dilges, AIA, CFM
My CFM has been a big advantage in my career.
Jan Monaghan, CFM
