Welcome to IFMA SF

IFMA San Francisco’s mission is to provide members with an informative and fun platform where they can foster relationships, connect with peers and industry professionals, and improve their careers through professional/educational development.

What is IFMA?

The International Facility Management Association (IFMA) is an association dedicated to providing support to facility management professionals through programs of career development, education and research. Founded in 1980, we are the world’s largest and most widely recognized association for facility management professionals, supporting over 24,000 members in more than 100 countries.  IFMA’s vision is to lead the future of the built environment to make the world a better place and its mission is to advance the collective knowledge, value and growth for Facility Management professionals to perform at the highest level.

President of IFMA SFLetter from the President to our Facility Fusion Guests:

San Francisco, and all Bay Area Chapters are excited to welcome conventioneers to San Francisco and to IFMA SF Fusion next week!

While Fusion will keep your schedule full, make sure to carve out some time to experience everything San Francisco has to offer—there’s a lot to see, do, and explore beyond the convention.

If you’re arriving early or planning to stay a little longer, getting around is part of the adventure, and Public transportation is a great option. Consider downloading the MUNI app and purchasing a multi-day pass, which even gives you access to our historic cable cars. www.sfmta.com/munimobile

For something a bit more cutting-edge, don’t miss the chance to try our RoboTaxis. Waymo is leading the way, and newcomer Zoox has “invite only” services operating around the Hilton area—definitely a unique Bay Area experience.

With the NCAA Finals happening, a viewing party on the big screen at Chase Center and the Giants in town, the city will be buzzing. The South of Market area is a great place to soak it all in. Check out local favorites like Hi Dive along the bay or Local Tap near the ballpark, or head over to Chase Center for Harmonic Brewery and Gott’s.

If you’re extending your stay, you’re in luck as April 10th is the start of San Francisco Restaurant Week, offering great prix fixe menus across the city. Going a la carte, then you can make your way to Abrazo Nob Hill on Cable Car, if Italian fare interests you Firenze by Night or Sodini’s in North Beach can be memorable dining experiences.

Looking forward to meeting many of you in the coming week!

Cheers to Our Outgoing Board!

The IFMA San Francisco Chapter’s new and outgoing board came together for a special celebration to thank our incredible departing board members — Phyllis Medler, Daniela Franco, Bruce Shapiro, Roxanne Bell, and Tony Yadao.

From planning events to keeping our chapter thriving, they’ve given their time, energy, and heart to make IFMA SF the vibrant community it is today. We couldn’t have done it without them — thank you for everything, and here’s to the next chapter!

If you are looking for ways to help the Chapter by volunteering on a committee, host an event or sponsor our efforts via a donation please send email to Sponsorship@ifmasf.org for more information.

The IFMA San Francisco Chapter is proud to have contributed to the 2025 IFMA Foundation Academic Scholarship — supporting the next generation of Facility Management leaders.

We are excited to congratulate our 2025 scholarship recipient, Ashley Jubilee, a current Temple University student majoring in Facility Management, who was recognized last month at IFMA’s World Workplace

By investing in students like Ashley, we help provide the resources, recognition, and encouragement they need to achieve their academic and career goals — while also strengthening the future of the FM community.

We’re honored to partner with the IFMA Foundation in advancing education and opportunity in our industry.
