Director of Facilities/Business Services – Farella, Braun + Martel LLP
Phyllis Medler, CFM, SFP, FMP, has been a member of IFMA since 2002 and currently serves as the Director of Facilities and Business Services for Farella Braun + Martel in San Francisco, California. Prior to joining Farella, she managed facilities for Arnold & Porter’s Northern California offices. She also worked as the Facilities and Operations Manager for Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP in Oakland, CA where had worked since 1986. Phyllis started her career working in office services until she was promoted to legal secretary in 1987 after she obtained a secretarial certificate from Heald Business College. She transitioned to the role of facilities manager in 2001 and was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the firm’s facilities and operations, including the David I. Wendel Conference Center (the firm’s event facility). Phyllis is a Certified Facilities Manager (CFM), Sustainable Facilities Professional (SFP) and Facility Management Professional (FMP). In addition, she holds an undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts, with a minor in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, from California State University, East Bay.
